All of our photo scanning includes basic color correction and auto-orientation on the completed media. Your original media will be returned once your project is complete. How to prepare your photos for scanning:

As with all of our archiving services, a good rule: if you bring in a physical mess, you'll get a digital mess in return.

Have your photos, printed items and documents organized in advance.
We will scan your originals in order, as long as they are clearly marked.
It is acceptable to bring them in marked plastic bags, banded together with an index card, or loose inside of a box or tub.
If your originals are not in a specified order they will be scanned by similar size to the original.
If you'd like folders named with specific titles, let us know at time of ordering. A $5 fee per custom folder is added.

Prints are sorted by size for efficiency.

Loose Photo Print Scanning:

Loose print scans are captured on a roll scanner that has pressure sensitive rollers and paper guides. Acceptable sizes for loose print scans are 2" x 3" Wallet size up to 8" x 10". Loose print scans can not have adhesive or other sticky substances on them, no post-it notes on the backs, no rips or tears that could get caught, and cannot be rigid or thick like Polaroids. Loose prints that do not meet these requirements will be considered small format flatbed scans.

Absolutely! Once digitized, photos can be easily shared via email, cloud storage, or social media. We recommend purchasing additional copies of your USB or DVD to distribute to family members. Doing this provides your family multiple pack ups and allows each family member to manage their scans as they wish.
What format will my photos be saved in?

High-resolution JPEG files, which are widely compatible and perfect for archiving, reprinting, or editing.
